    Tryout Schedules for the 2017-2018 RMGFA Teams

    Here is the tryout information for the 2017-2018 RMGFA Teams (American Freedom and Colorado Havoc).  This page will receive on-going updates as teams announce their tryout plans.

    Colorado Havoc - Ainsworth 18A

    CO HAVOC - AINSWORTH will be playing 18A in the 2017-18 season 

    We are particularly looking for pitchers, catcher, and outfielders with speed, would consider other positions with a very strong bat.

    Very low turnover- please call/email today if you are interested!

    Please call for a private tryout.  We are down to filling our last couple of spots.

    We practice in the golden area with indoor facilties near I-70 and Ward road and outdoors at Golden High School.

    We will play one tournament in the fall after the high school season. 
    We will be playing in local college showcase tournaments in the spring/summer with at least one out of state tournament.

    We have three coaches - two of which are non-parent coaches and we have the support of the Rocky Mountain Girls Fastpitch Association (RMGFA) as our umbrella organization. RMGFA has developed very good relationships with numerous college coaches and gives support to our players in the college recruiting process. We are very low drama and have solid hitting and defense to back up our pitchers.

    American Freedom - Balbin 16A

    We will be having 16A tryouts for all players who have a passion to play college softball with an emphasis on pitchers, corners, and outfield. We just left for the American Freedom Summer showcase this weekend and are leaving to go to the Sparks Select Showcase in Illinois next week so we will combine our practice with a tryout.

    Colorado Havoc 04 - 14U

    The Colorado Havoc 04 prides itself on building an athlete, developing a team, and giving each player the opportunity to develop skills to play at the next level.  Our coaching staff is committed to developing players that will love the game of softball and feel part of a team that is able to compete at a high level. 

    Havoc ’04 is coming off a successful season - Winners of 3 tournaments and runner up in two.  The team is looking to continue our success as a 14UB team in the upcoming season.  In order to do that, we are looking to round out our team with a couple strong competitors to add to our strong core group of girls. 

    We will play a competitive but balanced schedule that will allow our players to maintain their enthusiasm for the game.   We are planning on playing in 12-14 tournaments (two in the fall and two out of state) as well as participating in a double header league during the Spring 2018.
   Our practices will be held in the Lakewood/Littleton area.

    Colorado Havoc - Silvernale 14U

    Formerly Rocky Mountain Rampage – Green (Silvernale) – is excited to join the Colorado Havoc.  The Colorado Havoc prides itself on building an athlete, developing a team, and giving each player the opportunity to develop skills to play at the next level.    This team is based in Evergreen/Conifer but will practice in the Littleton/Golden area as well.

    We will be a first year 14U team playing a competitive 14U B schedule in the 2017-2018 softball season.  We will be returning a core group of players, in need of utility players.

    We are looking for female athletes that are coachable and eager to learn. Our coaching staff is committed to developing players that love the game of softball and feel part of a team with positive attitudes.

    Our schedule will consist of a fall core conditioning, plus 10-12 tournaments in the spring/summer of 2018 (possibility of playing 1 out-of-state tournaments).

    Tryout information:

    Where – Golden High School Varsity Field, 701 24th St Golden, CO 80401 (on the back side of the high school)

    When – Tuesday, July 18, 7:00-9:00 PM (registration is at 6:30, pitchers and catchers will stay 8:30-9:00 pm for positional work)….private tryouts available upon request.  Please bring all necessary equipment to the tryout.

                    Saturday, July 22nd, 9:00 -11:00 am (registration is at 8:30 am, pitchers and catchers will stay from 10:30-11:00 am for positional work)…..private tryouts available upon request.

    American Freedom CO 12U

    Sunday July 30, 2017 from 3:00-5:00 pm

    Cherry Park 11500 Birch Dr, Thornton, CO 80233. 

    The team will be based out of Thornton, CO.  We will plan on playing fall league and fall tournaments.  Indoor practice and workouts over the winter.  Expect to play in 6 to 8 spring/summer tournaments with the possibility of a couple out of state tournaments.

    We ask that you arrive 30 minutes early to check in and/or fill out a registration form and to stretch before we begin warm ups.
